The new editor lacks typeface and font size controls. This has caused me problems with imported text, links etc. It is possible to work found this with the heading formats but you may need to remove formatting with the rubber icon first.

The editor for forum postings has been upgraded and should now work with most browsers and set ups that have JavaScript enabled. If any users are experiencing problems, please post to this thread, or if that isn't possible, use the Response form.

Many thanks Chris [Fulcrum's webmaster, Chris Took], for overseeing such a major upgrade of the site. The encouraging news is that the upgrade was needed because of the huge increase in people using the site.
In July this year, the average number of 'unique users' per day was 1,248. The total number of 'hits' on the site that month was over a million (1,039,628). |

The hosting for the Fulcrum website has been upgraded in the last few days. We are aware of one or two problems that have arisen as a result of this, and hope to get these fixed soon. Please use the Feedback/Contact link at the top of every page to let us know of any difficulties you may experience. |

I have this scrolling problem too. What I do is copy and paste into a text editor and read there. |

Forgive my lack of knowledge of the correct terminology, but why do posts from Graham Kings often come out in such a big font I have to scroll sideways to read the second half of a line? Is this something I can fix at this end? Most other posts and the homepage seem OK. No offense Graham!

Perhaps The Master is correct. There is a 48 or 72 hour forum input sabbath for forum participants who are in ministry. "Oh, do you work on a Sunday?" may have often be heard by them. Perhaps they are amongst the clergy who take Friday as their day off, except when trapped by funeral directors.
So which days are the most popular forum days? |

The last message posted before Ken's was around 7pm on Friday - it must be a busy weekend for everyone!
If anyone has posted a message between 7pm Friday and 11am today (Sunday) please let the Fulcrum administrator know (admin@fulcrum-anglican.org.uk).
Do look at the help page about Forum moderation.
There have been subtle changes to the Fulcrum website over the last couple of weeks - some of these have had knock-on effects. However, the management of the whole site is now more flexible and efficient. This is an ongoing process.
Apologies for any delays to postings appearing as a result of this development, and for users acting inadvertently as beta testers. |

Pluralist is quite right in asking the question about what is normal. Since my post at 6.56 pm on Friday evening nothing else has appeared 40 hours later.
I am aware as others will be that the task of moderating the forum is something done in the 'free' time of those who are responsible. When people, especially those in full time ministry when full may mean very full, are only intermittently available then the forum could lose the value that it has had since its start up.
Perhaps there is a solution somewhere? |

Normal service has been resumed. What is normal service? I added a message before this notice, and it has not appeared - to add a comment about Andrew Goddard's latest letter. |

A reminder to everyone that we prefer people to post under their names, although we do not yet insist on it. To change from user number to your name you need to click on 'my account' and then on the next screen 'options' in the bar, and then click on the edit names button. The name others will see is the oddly titled 'screennick' under which you can call yourself whatever you wish to be known as. You may not choose someone elses name...Also the final arbiter of good taste is me. (Nuff said!) |

Iran has launched a public crackdown on dissent before next month's presidential election, executing two men charged with espionage and waging war against God, arresting a group of activists, including Christians, and summoning campaigners for questioning. Political prisoners in some of the country's most notorious jails have had their parole or visiting rights withdrawn and some transferred to solitary confinement.

Thanks, Bowman. And does this - the pleasantness of compliance to God's order and commands - not apply not only to aspects of the law given to Israel, which we are not obliged to keep, but also to the traditions of the apostles, which we are instructed to hold on to, and pass on to the next g...
I quite like Bowman's point that there is potential danger in bringing the women bishops issue into Ephesians 5 (if I can put it like that), which is about marriage. If we want to know 'how we should conduct [ourselves] in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pilla...
Bowman, you say that the only distinguishing quality of the relationships: Christ:man, man:woman, God:Christ, and Christ:church, husband:wife (I have added one there), is coinherence. Surely, there is a hierarchy of authority visible here. Jesus submits to the Father, the church submits to the Lo...
