The once and future Anglican Communion Covenant project – The Living Church

A significant, if not somewhat controversial, psychological tool was developed by the Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach in 1921. The Rorschach Test records and analyses a patient’s perceptions of a series of inkblots. Psychologists use this test to examine personality characteristics and emotional functioning.

  1. Those who believe that Christianity is in some sense true disagree about the condition of us all in the sight of God. Some, like me, believe that because of what the Bible says, we are all faced from birth onwards with the holy wrath and just condemnation of God because of Adam’s sin and our own sins. And we believe that the paramount need of us all is to be delivered from that wrath and condemnation and be brought into a new, living, forgiven relationship with God through the atoning death and resurrection of Christ. Others do not believe this. These two convictions cannot be harmonised or reconciled in some over-arching synthesis. One is true and the other is not true. This is the issue facing all Churches.
